Action
Scorpion venom antisera is a polyvalent antivenom that contains venom-specific F(ab') fragments of IgG which bind and neutralize venom toxins. The use of a scorpion venom antiserum appropriate for the species of scorpion can prevent or reduce symptoms after bites. It should be given with the least possible delay; other general supportive measures and symptomatic treatment are also required.
Onset: Time to resolution of symptoms: 1.91 ± 1.4 hours. Excretion: Elimination half-life: 159 ± 57 hours. |
Storage
Intravenous: Store at 25°C. Do not freeze.
